The AWEA Small and Community Wind Conference and Exhibition took place last week  in Portland, OR. Virginia-based consultancy CGE was one of the attendees and shared their thoughts about the show.

The company said: The pre-conference seminars on the Fundamentals of Small and Community Wind, and Small Wind InstallerTraining, were very informative and helpful in reinforcing what we already know, and better understanding some of the details about various systems, training, and processes. The conference presentations were organized in two tracks, Small, and Community Wind, each one including both presentations and panel discussions. Presenters and panel participants were all “hands on” experts, and provided lots of information and excellent insights. The entire conference, luncheons and evening receptions provided an excellent opportunity for CGE to interact with representatives from turbine manufacturers, community development organizations, small and community project developers, finanancing experts, and wind energy experts from across the domain.

The company offers professional support to get energy projects done. Services include:

  • Program planning and management
  • Event coverage and marketing support
  • Business development strategy, planning and execution
  • “Best Fit” technology research
